Joseph W. Neumayer
WHY is more important than how or what.
Why I photograph is to eliminate the obvious and illuminate the elusive; to excite, ignite and extol the essence of what is in front of the lens.
I tell stories with pictures; sometimes they are essays;
sometimes poems; sometimes paragraphs turn into novels.
Whether photographing a personal project or working on a commission, my intention and greatest satisfaction derives from being of service to imagination and creative thinking.
It is an artist’s life. I continue to learn.
