A Graduate of The School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Graphic Design, Diane
began her career as a Designer in the magazine Industry working for Penthouse International before having the opportunity to Art Direct the Premiere issue of Spin Magazine.
Always an avid reader, Diane became interested in designing book covers and became a designer for the Berkley Publishing Group, which lead to her position as Art Director with Warner Books, and up until last year, VP Executive Art Director for the Hachette Book Group. She has designed and art directed covers for various New York Times Bestselling authors such as, Nelson DeMille, Sandra Brown, Michael Connolly, and James Patterson to name a few. In 2015, Diane started her own Graphic Design studio, Diane Luger Design, LLC.
Photography has always been a lifelong passion and she has been able to incorporate some of her images on book covers when appropriate. Since joining the LICP, she began to concentrate on developing her eye and technique. The members of the LICP have been a big influence on her growth and development as a photographer. Diane is now a Co-President of the Long Island Center of Photography.
